hot pink magnesite stacked necklace

recently we restocked our hot pink magnesite rondelles, & couldn't help but feel inspired to create a statement necklace focused on the color from the stones. starting with the eye-catching rondelles, we added another bright disc - electric pink polymer. to balance out these intense colors, we selected a cool, light blue faceted crystal. of course we had to throw some hematite in there, along with large brass bicones.

once we had this collection ready to roll, we got our beadalon, crimps, lobsters, & jump rings. we cut an approximately 30" length of beadalon stringing wire, knowing we wanted a 20" necklace. taping off one end of the wire, we began stringing our design, keeping in mind we could always take the tape off of the opposite end & add or take away beads from that side.

we started stringing from the middle, adding in brass bicones & polymer, following with the magnesite. if you take a close look, you will notice that the gold hematite & crystal beads are strung in an asymmetrical pattern, just to add a bit of character.

once we were happy with the length & design of our piece, we strung the clasp & crimp, crimped it, & did the same on the opposite side with our jump ring. click here for an in-depth crimping tutorial
